Miley Cyrus is in love with tattoos and it seems that the iconic Barbie doll is taking after the former Hannah Montana star. A new limited edition Barbie is causing outrage as she is all inked up. Did Miley Cyrus have an influence on Mattel?
The new Barbie sports pink cropped hair and tattoos covering her arms and neck. In addition she's got on tight leopard print leggings and cross-bones t-shirt which look reminiscent of something Miley Cyrus might wear.
Parents are outraged, and rightfully so, as the Barbie isn't exactly looking like a good toy for young girls.
"Encouraging children that tattoos are cool is wrong, wrong, wrong. Mattel why not put a cigarette and a beer bottle in her hand while you're at it!" said one parent.
The Barbie is a bit over the top considering that it's young girls who are playing with the doll. Seeing the popular toy -- and their favorite celebs -- with tattoos all over their bodies will only influence them to want to do the same.
When the girls are older it'd be fine for them to decide to get a tattoo, but having tattoos on Barbie is almost like pushing the issue at young girls who don't know any better.
